九、恰当应用各种各样短横：em dash (―) 是破折号，en dash (�C) 用于联接年代、時间，是“到”的含意，hyphen (-) 是连字符。

留意：
1. 若创作时要2个 hyphen (--) 替代破折号，Word 等文书处理手机软件会全自动将其变为 em dash。由于 em dash 键入麻烦(Mac 上是 shift option -)，这也是英文写作通用性的替代法。
2. 破折号(em dash)两边可各留一半角空格，也可以没留。此乃美国英国习惯性之不一样，无对与错之分。惟请在同一份个人简历中维持统一。
